Major league baseball hall-of-famer Kirby Puckett passed away today in Scottsdale after suffering a stroke Sunday morning. Puckett was a class act, the likes of which are rarely seen in professional sports these days. He will be sorely missed around the world.
Scottsdale residents scored a victory on Thursday as the state House of Representatives rejected a bill to siphon funds from the highway safety camera system. The vote was close at 27-27, but the end result is a victory for a safer 101 and a safer Scottsdale.Tango dancing will take over the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts as 'Tangokinesis' sweeps into town this weekend. The sensual Argentinean dance will be combined with modern dance and set to music from Vivaldi, Gershwin and more. Tickets are now available for performances on Saturday and Sunday.

Scottsdale could be the new home for premier shopping destination, Barney's. The upscale store immortalized on Will & Grace would be perfect for Scottsdale. Westcor should be working hard to snag this deal for Fashion Square, especially with Robinsons-May leaving.
