Scottsdale Likes to Party

Here is yet another sign that Scottsdale's nightlife in on the rise. That's great for local club-owners, downtown merchants (those open after midnight) and all the 20-and-30-somethings that pack downtown every night from Thursday-Saturday. However, I challenge anyone to take a stroll around this area on a Sunday morning. Yes, Scottsdale's social status is increasing, but at what cost?

"GAIN" PROJECT PLANNING KICKOFF IS WEDNESDAY
Residents are invited to join the City of Scottsdale, APS and the Citizens Police Academy Alumni of Scottsdale for a fun evening full of resources, ideas, goodies and raffle prizes at this year's G.A.I.N. (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods) kickoff event, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts, 7380 E. Second St. The kickoff is geared to help G.A.I.N. party planners receive the tools necessary to host successful neighborhoods block parties on G.A.I.N. Night, which will be held on Oct. 2.
