Lowe's Opening in South Scottsdale

The city's south side will get a welcome addition late next year: a new Lowe's store. It's great to see retail business settling (once again) into the area. But, big-box boosters should hesitate before cheering too loudly just yet. The area is still in need of more visible police patrols, locally-owned businesses and, in some places, drastic neighborhood revitalization.
